The Best Time to Visit Naples, Florida
Naples has three distinct personalities across the year, and the price difference between them is enormous.
Ask a local when to visit Naples and the honest answer is April, followed by a pause and then "or November." Those are the two months where everything lines up: warm, dry, calm water, and the crowds either arriving or gone.
High season: January to April
Daytime highs of 24–29°C, humidity low, rain rare, and the town at full capacity. This is when Naples looks like the photographs. It is also when restaurant reservations require planning, beach parking fills by mid-morning, Fifth Avenue South is genuinely busy, and accommodation runs at two to three times summer rates.

- Cold fronts pass through January and February, dropping nights to 12–15°C and kicking up onshore wind for a day or two

Shoulder: May, November, early December
The insider months. May is warm, dry, still calm, and noticeably emptier as the seasonal residents head north. November is the same in reverse — the heat has broken, the humidity has dropped, and the crowds have not yet arrived. Prices sit well below peak in both.
Summer: June to September
Hot — highs of 32–34°C with high humidity — and wet, with a near-daily afternoon thunderstorm. It is also cheap, uncrowded, and the water is 30°C bathwater. Mornings are beautiful and glass-calm. The local rhythm is early out, midday in, back out at five for the best skies of the year.
October
Transitional and slightly unpredictable. The heat starts breaking mid-month, stone crab season opens on 15 October, and the water is still very warm. Prices are still low. It is a gamble that usually pays off.
